Cabin

January Snow

We drove up on MLK weekend to plant some seed and to see the cabin in the snow. It actually snowed more at home in Maryland than at the property. It was 25* during our 4 hours there. A little chilly. We spread some seed from Ernst Seeds hoping snow would cover it soon but the Junco’s found a lot of it. We made our first campfire, and Ryan chopped some wood with his new spliter while I stacked. We have a few Green Giants trees that we will plant when it gets warmer.

We had a discussion on the interior staircase which we will be changing as it is too steep and cuts off a portion of the loft area. We also discussed insulation under the house and the woodstove install. It’s a slow process and it takes time, money and warmer weather but this is our list so far.
